Wondering if this is just me. I JUST started Rogaine yesterday (5% foam as directed by my dermatologist). I noticed today that the left side of my face felt very warm, kind of irritated. It started first thing this morning and it still feels this way. I don't see any hives. Has anyone else has this happen? My hair was doing [i]okay[i] lately, not great but I had less coming out in the shower. I'm almost wishing that I'd just upped my intake of biotin along with the increase in aldactone that the dr prescribed. Ugh. Just curious if I should stick with this. I'm creeped out by the thread about minoxidil and aging, too. I don't want this to be another $50 mistake.

Oops, not that it matters but I meant the right side of my face.

I did not experience that side effect when I used Rogaine. Maybe it means that side of your face is absorbing it more. I do not know. When I used special shampoos to make hair grow, I felt tingling on my head. I used to slap my head because i thought it was dust mites, but then I read about it being side effect of those types of shampoos.

I've never experienced that.. maybe if it continues you should discontinue use or go ask your doctor. Oh and try to ignore the other thread for now.. I know it sounds scary, but as you can see with your own possible side effect, not everyone experiences them and nothing is proven yet, so if what you're dealing with goes away, trust your instincts that told you to try rogaine to begin with.. it really has helped so many people here, including myself.

Thanks for the replies! Today I didn't really notice that feeling so it might have been something else altogether. If I do notice anything, I'll definitely be checking in with the doctor.

Might it be because the rogaine touched your pillow and then the side of your face???

I'm wondering about that. I feel like I'm not sleeping very well because I'm so worried about getting Rogaine on my face! I wash my hair before going to bed and let it air dry (I have to, blow drying doesn't get it totally dry, either). I've been blow drying just the areas where I'm going to apply the Rogaine so that part seems ok, but I'm still worried. I mean, I don't want to grow a beard!!
