Discussion in 'Women's Alopecia Areata' started by courtdubx, Jun 14, 2014.

  1. i am 17. having alot of hairloss since end of december. nothing works for me as well..doctor says it might be due to low haemoglobin (10.1). i was under alot of stress around march due to exams. now i have no stress still it falls so badly. no doctor is telling to have a scalp biopsy done.

starshine, do you experience, itchiness, burning/tingling sensation or pain on your scalp? I’ve been thinning (diffuse) for three years now and no one can give me a straight diagnosis :/

I´ve just received the diagnose of diffuse alopecia areata after 2 years of hair loss, besides having Androgenetic Alopecia (already doing treatment for it). My doctor prescribed me Clobetasol lotion to apply on scalp 2x per day for 3 months. I am just afraid from the side effects, I read is not indicated for more than 1 month. Have you girls tried this treatment? I was reading on the internet - inclusive Antonella Tosti´s research - that this treatment provides regrowth and good results.
