I know hair won’t fall as much and will grow longer but my hair literally grew back in areas that were thin like temples. It was wait length and looked great. I had the post partin shed at about 6 months post part in. It Began to recover and was decent but had another te in March of 18 due to a sickness. Hair has not recovered...I am wondering if estrogen or birth control would help since my hair likes pregnancy?

Hi! In my experience, which was similar, yes. BCP, spironolactone, or other androgen blocker might help you.

What doctor would you recommend talking to about this? Ob or derm?

Depends. My OB will prescribe various meds but she’s pretty open. You might want to start with your OB if you already have one you like. Bringing along some literature from PubMed about spironolactone and hair loss is what made mine willing to prescribe (though I’m not actually on it currently for other reasons).
