I think your part looks pretty good still. I see what you mean on the nape. Have you tired natural treatments for the Eczema? I have Seb Derm and have used everything but try and stay away from harsh meds...

I havent tried Nioxin but the knock off brand from Sally's when this all hit for me and it made my scalp worse and I shed more so I stopped it.

SarahS- your hair loss kinda looks like mine, except I've got really curly hair so it helps to disguise the thinning for now :/ I've used nizoral and minoxidil for about 4 weeks. So far I see no improvement. I wish I had an answer :(

I'm hoping mine is CTE. It's weird I don't have any excessive shedding though. I just feel like my hair is gradually thinning everywhere, and it's really noticeable on my temples and hairline, and I'm only 21 :O I've had this issue for three years. My tests came out "normal" and none of my parents are balding, even my grandmother still has a head full of hair. So I'm completely lost and still searching for answers lol

**i'm glad you like my username! Haha my curls look like noodles, too bad it isn't as thick as it used to be lol

    Sarah,
That is A LOT of regrowth. Wow! Do you think that is from bringing your ferritin up over the past few months? Are you still shedding?
Congrats! In time hopefully those hairs will catch up in length with your longer strands & you will get some density back.

    Hey Sarah,

I'm so happy for you! I hope to see regrowth like that soon.

What do you credit for your regrowth? Iron, vitamin D? Other supplements/vitamins/minerals? I know you're probably not 100% sure but I was just wondering if you have a hunch.

Btw, brewer's yeast is supposed to be a great source of iron and vitamins.

Also, I agree with the member who said that increasing stomach acid might be a good idea; maybe you can try taking prebiotics, especially because you have a history of using antibiotics long term.

    Me too :((

My hair is also thinning diffusely and at temple and widows peak. I think it's CTE. Been to 2 derms both treat me like its no big deal and didn't check labs. Had bunch of labs in March for same thing and all ok but no hormones checked. I'm new here and glad to c I'm not alone. I hate this.

Chamsgirl, I think your ferritin is too low to regrow hair, I think I read 70 is the goal for regrowth so you may want to start iron supplements. But do a little research first. Best of luck, I know your pain. I cry a lot too, sometimes at work even.
