    Dr. Bauman:

My 11 year old daughter has been suffering from diffuse hair loss for over 10 months now. Over 50% hair loss and significant thinning. We have seen several dermatalogists, no answer. Initially some said possibly TE, but others said no, they say diffuse Alopecia Areata and Androgenetic Alopecia unlikely. Her Fe levels were on the lower side, so on Fe supplements for 2 months. The doctor we are going to now said Fe levels take some to build up and take effect. So we are waiting, but the hair loss continues. Is there anything we can do to stem the hair loss, laser combs or anything else? We are very concerned and don't know how to deal with this. We appreciate any help you can provide. Thank you.
