Hi, all - I recently had bloodwork done in order to track down the root (haha) of my hair loss, and my hormone levels came back entirely normal but for my LH levels, which were really very high. I've not yet had an ultrasound, but the doctor thought PCOS was possible given the high LH levels. I've been doing research, though, and have found no examples of PCOS sufferers with high LH only. I've also found no links between high LH and hairloss. Anyone else in the same situation?
I think high LH often happens with PCOS, but the corresponding FSH is low ( so the LH/FSH ratio is high). what are your levels?
Well...an lh/fsh ratio above 3 is considered diagnostic for pcos. Yours is 9- your dr didn't say anything about this? I would probably run to an endocrinologist.
