Regarding the Rogaine Shed...

    There is a difficult balance between being afraid to try a treatment because you "heard" horror stories, and missing out on the only clinically proven treatment that can help you. It always pains me to see terror threads on the Rogaine shed and then read comments from people that they're too afraid to even try Rogaine because of what they've read. First off its extremely important that you realize that everyone is different. Its even more important that you understand that shedding is a part of the process, and its a sign that the treatment is working.

    Thanks Admin...good info. Do you know anything about an increased shedding period related to using Avodart? It mentions in the article that it is associated with using propecia, which I had never heard before. Thanks.

    If the logic is that follicles positively affected by the presence of the treatment, discontinue the growth of the current hair, eject it, and restart with the growth of a new hair... then it would stand to reason that if Avodart works, it would have some shedding associated with it.
