First , Happy New year for everyone. I need advice about my medication. I am 36 years old .No , one in my family has Alopecia.I started to losing my hair almost two years ago. I had two bold spot like penny but Now I don't have any bold spot. Still, I am losing hair from all my head. I met Endocrinologists ( he did not biopsy he did only blood work to check my thyroid )and said my thyroid is normal but its seems that I have ( androgenic alopecia) . So , I started Spironolactone with Birth control pills. It stopped shedding. last year I changed my birth control pills. But, still I have lot of side effects of it. Make me very depress and mood swing. I just need advice if I will take only Spironolactone not Birth control pills. Why I cant take only Spironolactone ? What is side effects if I will take only Spironolactone. Any information will be helpful. Thanks Sarah1
